Freezone receives a grant for Pride in Sport Festival 2025.

As part of the Pride in Sport Festival, Freezone Volleyball Club is hosting a three-week introductory volleyball program during Mardi Gras 2025. Designed for novice and beginner LGBTQIA+ players, these sessions provide a welcoming space to learn the basics, build confidence, and enjoy the game, no prior experience needed!

President's Piece - Autumn 2024

News from the Freezone Presidents desk. I hope everyone had a terrific and glamorous Mardi Gras period, however you chose to celebrate it. The Mardi Gras tournament at Perry Park was supported by Freezone and organised by City of Sydney. This tournament went off without a hitch and 32 teams across the 2 days played some fun volleyball, that was very serious at times. Congratulations to all the winning teams in the final matches.

Presidents Piece #3 - World Pride Edition.

Happy New Year everyone, and welcome to gay xmas month, where Sydney hosts World Pride and Mardi Gras 2023 over the next 3 weeks!! We understand there will be lots of different events happening for each and every one of us, so get out and enjoy the once in a lifetime atmosphere of being the host city for World Pride. Soak in every moment of the rainbows everywhere, the pride, the inclusivity, the events and parties happening almost every night, & the new friendships.

Australian Queer Aquatics & Beach Festival 2023.

Freezone volleyball was invited to be part of Australian Queer Aquatics Festival 2023. Thanks for having us!! Sydney Stingers Water Polo, Wett Ones Sydney LGBT+ Swimming Club, Volleyball New South Wales - VNSW Special thanks to all the participants who joined us today, it was great fun to share our love for volleyball with you. We hope to see you soon at one of our Sunday social indoor volleyball sessions!

Freezone team plays final State Cup 2022.

The final event for 2022 was last weekend, and Freezone Brunch competed and after some strong games and close scores finished 5th out of 8 teams in Division 2.

COVID-19 UPDATE 25-06-2021

VNSW has made the decision to postpone all activities for this weekend. The impacts of the postponement of this weekend is being considered with clubs and athletes to receive further information early next week on next steps once adjustments to plans have been made.
